Job requirements
Topic Characteristics: The e-learning sector has made a huge leap forward in recent years due to the pandemic. Many companies are adopting work-from-home practices and move most of their daily operations to a remote environment. This has created barriers for companies in terms of training, communication, progress monitoring and upskilling, supporting the demand for e-learning platforms among large enterprises and SMEs: hence the growing demand to develop customized learning solutions. This thesis proposal is part of a larger research project aimed at developing a fully functional e-learning platform that engages users through various gamification and learn to earn features. The key areas on which the candidate can contribute are:
- Full stack development: develop a fullstack application with the latest industry standards and technologies such as the MERN stack (MongoDB – ExpressJS – React – Node). In addition, the whole application will follow devops standards of continuous integration and leverage Docker containers
- Modular object oriented programming: contribute by learning how to implement features and components common to most of the best webApps such as: authentication systems, redux store, recommendation systems based on user preferences, responsive UI and video players, rating systems and so on.
Preferential position requirements
At the end of the project, and after the graduation, there could be the opportunity to be included in the company, through a paid internship.
