Description
  • Ensure hardware and software compatibility and availability across all ECUs
  • Maintain and manage the lab vehicle to guarantee continuous operational readiness
  • Verify power distribution, grounding integrity, and compliance with technical requirements
  • Configure and set up communication networks (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet)
  • Perform ECU updates and flashing via OTA, GOB, and manual methodologies
  • Execute ECU coding using CP tools, manual approaches, and dataset imports
  • Conduct full vehicle diagnostics, including DTC scanning and troubleshooting
  • Configure and utilize measurement and calibration tools (e.g., CANoe, Vector tools, data loggers)
  • Prepare, update, and maintain lab vehicle configuration documentation
  • Track issues, log defects, and report them to the responsible component owner
  • Execute automated test suites as part of the integration and validation cycle
  • Analyze test results and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders
  • Plan and schedule test time slots for automation runs, manual testing, and shared team usage
  • Document test reports and ensure closure of all identified issues

Job requirements

  • Experience in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Strong experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet)
  • Hands-on experience with ECU flashing, coding, and diagnostics
  • Familiarity with Vector tools (e.g., CANoe) and data logging systems
  • Experience in automotive testing and integration environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Fluent in English (German is a plus)
