Description
  • To ensure that validation tests are 100% compliant with Customer’s Environmental Health and Safety rules
  • To perform train preparation and de-preparation on Customer sites, public networks in Germany, and railway test centers (e.g. VUZ Velim Test Centre, Wegberg-Wildenrath Test Centre)
  • To supervise personnel executing tests, including safety briefings, coordination, and on-site oversight
  • To ensure onboard communication between test teams, driver, infrastructure, and stakeholders
  • To provide daily reporting to the Test & Validation Engineer (TVE) on testing progress
  • To ensure correct software configuration is uploaded on train(s) as defined by the TVE
  • To support validation planning, including scheduling of test sites and activities inside and outside the Customer’s site
  • To perform technical supervision of validation train(s) during testing activities
  • To support internal teams (Train System, Train Design, Train Control) with technical activities (e.g. train start-up, power supply setup, configuration changes)
  • To support third parties (e.g. external laboratories) with technical activities related to validation

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (systems, electrical, electronic, or similar).
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar position.
  • Willingness to work in multiple locations (Germany, north Europe, Czech Republic)
  • Willingness to work in shifts (early, late, night) and weekends if required
  • Willingness to perform both hands-on vehicle activities and office-based tasks
  • Availability to work predominantly on-site
  • Valid first aid certification
  • Valid high-voltage training and electrical qualification (e.g. qualified/skilled electrician or equivalent)
  • Fire extinguisher training or similar certification is a plus
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
